When unexpected disaster strikes, the immediate aftermath is often the most critical window for recovery. A.S.S.I.S.T.’s Emergency Relief & Crisis Stabilization Program is designed to intervene rapidly, addressing immediate threats to a family’s safety and well- being.
This program focuses on stabilizing families quickly through essential resources and connections to critical services. By meeting urgent needs without delay, we aim to prevent further hardship, such as prolonged homelessness or untreated medical situations.
**Please note: ASSIST currently provides assistance through eligible essential goods, emergency resources, resource navigation, and referrals based on availability and program guidelines. ASSIST does not currently provide direct monetary assistance, including cash, checks, gift cards, vouchers, rent or mortgage payments, utility payments, or payments toward personal debts. Referrals and resource connections do not guarantee eligibility, funding, or assistance from another organization.
Displacement Support
Essential-needs assistance and resource connections for individuals and families displaced by fires, natural disasters, unsafe domestic situations, or other qualifying emergencies.
Medical Emergency Support
Essential-needs support and resource connections for individuals and families experiencing hardship related to a sudden medical crisis.
Financial Hardship
Essential-needs assistance and resource connections for individuals and families experiencing unexpected financial hardship, helping stabilize immediate household needs and connect families with appropriate community services.
Critical Referrals
Connections to community organizations, specialized agencies, and other resources that may provide services beyond ASSIST's current scope.
